Every parent knows how much of a challenge shopping can be when you’re accompanied by a small child, but the Britax B-Lite should go some way to making the task seem less daunting.

The B-Lite’s main selling point is that it’s compact and easy to fold, so you won’t have any trouble fitting it in your boot alongside your shopping. It’s also an incredibly lightweight buggy at just 8kg, with a spacious shopping basket as a handy place to store all the essentials for a day out with your youngster.

The lockable swivel wheels make those usually tricky manoeuvres in busy shopping streets relatively straightforward, and you needn’t worry about your baby falling out after making a quick turn – the B-Lite has a 5-point harness for optimum safety.

Admittedly, the B-Lite doesn’t have a cosy carrycot like some of the more high-end pushchairs, but its performance as a day-to-day buggy is impressive nonetheless. If you do buy this chair, it might be a good idea to invest in a footmuff to keep your child cosy during the winter months.
